Four major areas of focus:1 - Bought grain directly from farmers. In most recent fiscal year I bought 24% of overall farm direct grain delivered into the Sioux City facility.2 - Contract execution. Supply chain management for bulk & bagged feed ingredients used to produce livestock feed. Four main areas of focus:A) Purchasing . Managed the purchasing and logistics for 10 to 15 bulk feed ingredients and 75 to 125 bagged feed ingredients for feed mills in district. Average tonnage per day of mills was 250 to 450 tons.B ) Quality Control. Developed and monitored ingredient testing/analysis schedule for inbound ingredients. Filed quality claims when necessary.C) Sales support/Operations support. - Operated Cargill software to create the formulas (recipes) used to manufacture livestock feed. - Developed forward contract offerings on products to be brought to market by sales team.D) Risk Management. Ran weekly reports to analyze areas of risk exposure on raw materials purchased for use in production.
