Member of and led a 15-person team building the client-side foundation for multiple tenants in the Walmart web ecosystem, including the Walmart.com website. Managed monorepo and associated distributed systems supporting over 1000 engineers. Frontend built on Next.JS with React Query and GraphQL for data fetching. Established library upgrade strategies and executed numerous major version upgrades of core packages. Developed schema-validated network mocking patterns and private production sourcemap access. Designed and built GraphQL persisted query solution that automated distributed system communication and thus required no workflow changes from engineers. Created type-safe feature flag architecture. Analyzed and reduced dependency graph complexity in order to improve CI times. Increased test runner determinism, wrote code generators and ESLint rules, led content security policy implementation, integrated build pipeline with asset content validation security system. Guided platform architecture to become fully tenant-agnostic. Built GitHub merge queue bot to ensure PR-main branch compatibility while maintaining sufficient queue processing speed. Profiled and fixed performance bottlenecks in runtime and CI code. Led post mortem process following a string of CI bugs, identifying and speccing out numerous corrective actions.
