I helped move key portions of the Locus desktop Java application from Swing to JavaFX. This included the design and construction of an elastic list control in JavaFX with advanced graphics and animation features, for use within a fixed income instrument chooser user interface. This interface allows users to quickly navigate through tens of thousands of instruments and their related fields. I also helped design the next generation cloud implementation of the Locus infrastructure to enable web-based products to be built using the CS Analytics back-end data and systems. This platform is being used currently in the CS Plus flagship product, and will be used for future products currently in the works. Additionally, this infrastructure uses a JMS-based messaging bus using my own JMS implementation, JetStreamQ. JSQ allows messaging to occur across all LocusWeb servers with no configuration required.
