NELINET was a library cooperative providing OCLC services to New England libraries. In addition to OCLC software and services NELINET provided cooperative purchasing agreements with the (then) entire landscape of electronic research databases. I was responsible for all software and computer systems in the NELINET offices. I installed NELINET's first-ever internet connection and local area network. I configured and managed a wide range of new and innovative (at the time) internet services/servers including WWW, Telnet, FTP, Gopher, SMTP. Responsible for management of NELINET’s wide area network and internet services. Happily, the technology I managed is but a memory.
