As project manager my primary responsibly is to manage capital projects ranging from $50k to $30M. Tasks include but are not limited to collecting customer data for engineering, over see the manufacturing to ensure quality and schedule are maintained and provide customer support for when our equipment is commissioned. I am also responsible for establishing project budgets and negotiating changes to the contract once the project is under way.My secondary responsibilities are to support sales efforts, prepare formal quotations when necessary, participate in continual improvement project.

As an operations manager my primary responsibly is to train and manage a team of 10 direct reports and oversee a total staff of 44 employees. My other primary responsibilities are to manage factory expense, provide monthly sales forecasts and manage open orders.    My secondary responsibilities are to lead weekly production and sales meetings, plan preventive maintenance of our current assets, interview all potential employees, participate as a member of quality management team to maintain our ISO 9001 certification, write work instructions, implement continual process improvements, provide technical support for our customers and participate as a member of our safety and machining committees. Most of my secondary responsibilities have remained the same since starting as a cost estimator.Achievements:- First year as operations manager my team and I were responsible for doubling our operating results from the year prior.  - Created reports generated by our business system to manage open quotations and open orders. - Developed and instituted the preventive maintenance module of our business system. - Created a skills matrix with definitions of competency for direct labor employees.

My primary responsibilities as a production manager were to plan production, expedite customer orders and approve factory expense purchases. Achievements:- Project manager for $1.2M capital expenditure on a horizontal machining center. - Developed and instituted barcoded work orders for electronic time keeping to eliminate hand written time cards. - Moved a department to follow lean principles by creating a work cell.

As an Estimator my primary responsibilities were to prepare formal quotations for our customers and process customer purchase orders by creating work orders for production. I was also responsible for purchasing materials and outside services for the work orders I processed.Achievements:- Developed and instituted the inventory module of our business system that utilized supply and demand for both purchased and manufactured parts.- Lead several 5S Kaizen events.- Wrote procedures and work instructions for our ISO quality manual that ultimately gained an  ISO 9001 certification.- Co - managed a $500K capital expenditure on a robotic thermal arc spray welding process.

My skills utilized as a machinist:- Set up and operation of vertical and horizontal CNC lathes and milling machines.- Set up and operation of manual lathes and milling machines.- Set up and operation of surface grinders.- Measuring tool offsets and tooling setups.- Using precision measuring tools. - Operation of CNC water jet.
