The O&M Manager – Operations is a key member of plant management team. Responsibilities include leading the O&M Technicians assigned to plant operations. The manager is also responsible for plant production employing sound Safety, Environmental and operating principles within the guidelines of the applicable Power Purchase and Operating Agreement. Participates in the employee selection process and is responsible for implementation of the O&M Technician training and qualification program. Develops and updates plant operating procedures. Administers plant operating budget and identifies areas of production optimization and makes recommendations for production improvement.

Conducts day to day operations and maintenance of the plant to include plant operations, mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, or instruments and controls. Monitors plant performance and is capable, without supervision, of identifying mechanical, electrical and instrumentation/controls and performing corrective action when appropriate. Is fully proficient in at least one of the disciplines listed above and as such has the ability to operate the control board, perform complex mechanical or electrical duties, and/or perform as an instrument and controls technician. Can lead acceptance and performance tests on existing or new plant equipment. Provides guidance to lesser experienced operations personnel

Conducts day to day operations and maintenance of the plant to include supporting plant operations, mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, or instruments and controls. Responsible for fuels management, to include rolling stock and materials handling operations. Operates and monitors equipment, rolling stock, conveyor systems, etc., and is capable of identifying out of compliance mechanical, electrical or other extraordinary conditions as appropriate within assigned equipment and systems. Is fully proficient in at least one of the disciplines listed above and as such has the ability to support other O&M technicians in their roles. Assists in conducting acceptance and performance tests on existing or new plant equipment. Must be able to operate and maintain heavy equpment in support of managing fuel.
