Eric Co has over 25 years professional experience working in the fields of marine science and conservation in Hawai‘i, the Pacific Islands, the Caribbean, and Australia. Now in his fourteenth year at the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation, he currently serves as the Vice President of Resiliency where he leads its Nearshore Ocean Resiliency, Climate Adaptation, and Windward Oʻahu ‘Āina giving priorities. He serves in a volunteer board and advisory capacity for the Bishop Museum, the Polynesian Voyaging Society, Biodiversity Funders Group, Save the Waves, Oʻahu Visitor’s Bureau, Hawaiʻi Institute of Marine Biology Director’s Council, and Sustainable Moloka‘i.He holds a BA from Holy Cross College, an MA from the University of Hawai‘i- Mānoa Geography Department on the integration of Hawaiian fishing practices with Western science-based management; and an Executive MBA at the UH- Shidler School of Business.His first love is the ocean, but his greatest love is his family with his wife Stephanie Dunbar-Co and their two children Te‘alohilani and Kahulilikainalu.
