• Automate processes where identifiable. Work with IT and other related parties to implement new solutions to save time on repetitive tasks. Design UI and tool/fixtures needed for prototype. Develop process control plan for mass implementation once verified. • Manage capital projects, compile current state review to present to management team. Track project progress, verify with end users and project metrics. • Work with process engineering team to create SOPs, TPM, FMEA and LOTO machine specific work documents.• Identify quality issues and mitigate by utilizing investigative tools such as XY chart, 5 Why, and 8D to create quantitative metrics to measure and monitor process. Conduct DOEs and create current and long-term control plan. Monitor implementation and perform continuous improvements.

• Provide on the spot technical assistance to students regarding design parameters, fabrication techniques, and safe equipment usage• Review student & faculty submitted work requests• Program CNC mills & lathes • Maintain & Organize shop tools, supplies, & equipment

• Update & create LOTO procedure for equipment• Perform capability studies on multi-spindle lathes to determine statistical stability of process to meet dimensional requirements• Design custom gauging for newly developing process to eliminate wasted time and determine necessary gauging frequency
