Eric Cousin werkt sinds 1990 in de nationale en internationale houthandel, met Cousin Houtproducten. Zijn specialisatie is de timmerindustrie. Toen Eric in 2001 ging werken met de houtsoort robinia leerde hij Wilco van Berlo -eigenaar van RobiniaWood- kennen. Wilco heeft al meer dan 20 jaar ervaring in Robinia, hij is gespecialiseerd in deze Europese hardhoutsoort en heeft een breed assortiment in voorraad, met een eigen zagerij/productiebedrijf in Hongarije. De samenwerking verliep al snel voorspoedig en daarom besloten Eric en Wilco de krachten te bundelen.De timmerindustrie is een snel veranderende, dynamische markt, die een moderne groei doormaakt. Eric en Wilco sluiten daar graag bij aan met deskundig advies op maat.Vanuit het contact met de timmerindustrie kwam naar voren dat er een grote behoefte was aan acacia/robinia deuvels. Eric: “We lieten al beuken deuvels maken in Duitsland en toen is het idee ontstaan om daar acacia/robinia deuvels te gaan produceren. We kennen de markt en wisten dat er vraag naar was.” Wilco vult aan: “De aanvoerlijn en productie was al opgezet en daar is WooX BV uit voortgekomen. We zijn in 2017 al begonnen met proefproductie en -orders, daarnaast regelden we de certificeringen KOMO en FSC. Vanaf januari 2018 zijn we volledig gecertificeerd en is WooX BV officieel opgericht.”
