I conduct individual, group and family therapy sessions designed to meet the needs of the individuals, couples and families involved. I try to work closely with involved medical practitioners (PCP's) as well as other service entities (such as DHS and the local Tribe, etc) as a sort of case manager facilitating growth in the areas needed. I conduct assessments in the emergency department on individuals experiencing psychiatric emergencies. The primary objective is to determine any existing dangerousness to self or others. The secondary objective is to then determine treatment needs and refer to appropriate and effective treatment alternatives. This is accomplished by interviewing patients.

I developed and instructed undergraduate classes in behavioral sciences. Teaching primarily engineering students my hope was to help them benefit from an understanding of both psychology and sociology. In this role I grew in my understanding of the need for these fields to work more closely together.
