At Brigham Young University-Idaho, I studied marriage and family with a professional clinical emphasis. I am a hard worker with a lot of passion for the family and marriage. For years I did not have any idea what I wanted to do with my future. As a child and teen, I witnessed many relationships in my family fall apart and saw the pain of everyone involved. After High School I worked for a year and a half in any job I could find and concluded that I was going to end up in a physically demanding career the rest of my life. This was partially because in the past I never did well in school, barely making it by in many cases. I decided to serve a two-year proselyting mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and while I was doing so, I concluded that the only thing I have passion for is helping others. This, along with the deep desire I had to ease the pain of my loved ones mentioned before, lead me to work towards a goal of becoming a mental health counselor.Today, I am using my skills I have learned in my position of mental health case manager. I will be graduating in December 2024 with a masters in clinical mental health counseling.
