My research focuses on improving the systemic delivery of neoadjuvants to promote antitumor immunity. Specifically, I am investigating lipid-based delivery vehicles to improve tumor delivery and penetration of cyclic dinucleotide STING agonists. Over the course of this project, I have gained experience in lipid nanoparticle formulation, in vitro evaluation, flow cytometry, PK analysis, and running therapy studies in syngeneic mouse models of cancer.

My research focused on using solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) to prepare novel self-assembling oligomers based on the collagen triple helix and allowed to gain experience in important bioanalytical techniques such as HPLC, circular dichroism, and microscopy.

As a postdoc, I synthesized and characterized novel organic macromolecules with a focus on biomedical applications. Accomplishments- Synthesized amide-linked carbohydrate polymers using a new approach, specifically anionic ring opening polymerization of a beta-lactam monomer- Demonstrated a number of key properties for these polymers, including lectin binding, protein stabilization, and the ability to direct self-assembly
