Cor-ordinate the efficient distribution of containers for municipalities using an application that I developed. By applying the residential location data with the corresponding subscription of ten different container size combinations per home, I could produce a mapped route for the driver with a manifest of the exact number of containers needed for the maximum number of deliveries based on the storage space of the delivery truck. The result was a noticeable improvement in fuel efficiency (reduced trips) labor expenses and deployment planning.

Developed and prototype a terabyte networked storage server for audiophiles. This console based system could rip CDs and DVDs as well as play them locally or stream them to remote locations over the home network or internet via subscription based service. Controls were web based and accessed by home computer or Pocket PC with Wi-Fi (this was before smart phones). Videos were only streamed on the LAN or viewed on the console by connecting a video monitor / television depending on the resolution desired. Console was presented at 2003 CES in Las Vegas.

Video Billboard and Internet access company. Placed primarily in shopping mall food courts, A video wall with Bose engineered audio system displays a 45 min loop of movie previews, music videos and public service announcements. Underneath the video wall, several touch screen browsers with printers and headphones directed traffic to E-mail, coupons, promoted media and contest pages for the purpose of collecting demographic and marketing data. The business was supported by charging movie studios for the previews and selling the marketing info. Overhead was minimal due to using a secured multicast file distribution system (developed in house by Adrian Baranyuk) over the internet with inexpensive low bandwidth connections. Remote monitoring of the browser status with web cams watching the whole site assured quality control of the entire experience. It all seems so boring now, but at the turn of the century it was real leading edge. After 9-11 them momentum and enthusiasm of all the key personnel dissolved and the company folded as everybody moved away from the area. A good lesson to be learned: your talent is your company.

Started out as Service Manager and took promotions when opportunities availed themselves, i.e. Network Manager, Director of Network Operations etc. After the administration dismissed Paul Kennedy and Steve Cohen (the Kiosk gods), and invested heavily in social websites, I left the company. I went to work for Screen Zone (a client of North Communications) as their VP of Technology where I reverse engineered North Communications software suite of kiosk applications and improved it in the process. By making the kiosk browser 32bit compliant we solved the memory leak problem and all the other bugs North Communications never acknowledged. We also improved the remote monitoring by adding live video feed. Rumors were that Screen Zone was their cash cow and last hope to go public.
