About Eric De Haas
Hello!I am passionate in using research and science to help develop policy to solve humanity's problemsI am a current Master's student at the School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) at University of California San Diego (UCSD), with a concentration in International Environmental Governance and Latin America. I believe that data-oriented environmental policy plays a critical role in promoting a sustainable and green world. I currently work as a Resident Assistant (RA) for Eleanor Roosevelt College at UCSD, in which capacity I organize and develop community activities to promote campus life. However, I also have worked in many different capacities, such as a policy intern for the City of Irvine and accounting for private industries. I believe that these careers have prepared me for working in highly dynamic environments, especially in an international environment.I have extensive experience in both the qualitative (policy memos, essay writing, etc.) and the quantitative (Excel, R, Python. Stata, etc.) aspects of policy research.I am open to any opportunity to improve my skills, especially as it relates to data-driven policy analysis.
