When I started on this project I worked with a Sr.Field engineer to monitor settlement of adjacent existing structures for follow up with design engineers. I Reviewed/Reported on the quality of concrete work commissioning systems for review with appropriate engineers.of the structures and followed up with the respective design engineers. I also Reviewed/Reported on commissioning of systems and reviewed these with the appropriate engineers. Control systems were a particular fascination, as I see them as early implementation of "The Internet of Things" that will ultimately allow "Smart Buildings" to be designed. The PAAV to Canary District project included 7 separate building projects. The supporting infrastructure development within the overall project taught me, via a steep learning curve, how a mega project needs a meticulous and flexible schedule and logistics plan to bring together the design and construction teams. Implementing the comprehensive quality control program meant we had to work closely with the various design disciplines and the various authorities having jurisdiction to ensure that what was being constructed met all codes and requirements for occupancy.The "Site Works" application was implemented on iPads for proper location and pictorial representation of deficiencies, its results supplied to the respect subs. I conducted tours of all types for owner representatives and government employees. The views and goals of each taught me how fundamentally separate parties interests are, based on the optimization of their investments.

I was a Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager for Hunt/EllisDon, A Joint Venture (referred to herein as HED) on the Infinity at Brickell Project, Miami Florida. HED was the Construction Manager for this 52 story $130 million GMP Condominium Project.I was involved in the subcontract award process and assigned several sub-contractors to coordinate through estimating, bidding, award recommendation and construction. I worked with the within the established budget constraints to ensure the assigned work was purchased and managed inside the budget. I was partially responsible for aspects of the construction coordination work for the trades, which included site logistics, safety scheduling, neighborhood politics surrounding our footprint, quality control, and ensuring that the construction work was done efficiently. One of my most comprehensive responsibilities was the coordination and delivery for the two double man/material hoists, which ran up the exterior of the 52 story building. I reviewed the shop drawings and coordinated the engineered tie backs and landing platform scaffolding. This required an understanding of the loads, torques, and the transfer of forces from the hoists into the building, which had substantial step backs at the upper levels, this required the review of all engineered scaffold platforms.I was involved in the financial documentation and and reporting process, which included the review of sub-trade monthly invoices, and the preparation of the monthly progress report to the joint venture. I recorded and did order of magnitude estimates for all requests for information including risk assessment vs the Project budget.I taught myself the scheduling program Suretrack, and was able to prepare time sensitive claim issues. This program allowed my to quantitatively appreciate trade cooperation, develop task schedule that all good agree on, review resources and assess the impact of delays.
