I am currently teaching mathematics at all levels and coordinating the mathematics department. Over the past few years I have also focused on doing instructional coaching in primary and secondary mathematics and am currently doing this at two of our campuses. I have also begun working with the Heads of Science and Social Studies modifying an instructional coaching model and will begin doing instructional coaching in these disciplines this spring.

I taught mathematics at all levels in Grades 6 to 12 and coordinated the Mathematics Department. I also taught Science up through Grade 10 as well as Theory of Knowledge in Grades 11 and 12. I coordinated a two-year research project into mathematics teaching and learning with the Director of Learning. This involved working primary and secondary teachers and administration gathering data through lesson observations on our current practices and trialling different instructional techniques with teachers where I worked as an instructional coach. I was also the assistant girls volleyball coach from 2008 to 2019.

I have been helping various organizations make the best long-term decisions using dynamic strategic modelling techniques. These include businesses such as Prem Tinsulanonda International School (PTIS) and Life Development Center. I have also used similar techniques to build poverty impact models for HelpAge International. Finally, I run training sessions for organizations to build and use their own dynamic strategic models, including businesses (Zurich Impact Hub and PTIS), government ministries (Nepal and the Philippines) and education (schools in USA, Turkey, Thailand, Switzerland and Poland).My belief is that if more people used dynamic strategic modelling as a tool for long-term decision making, organizations would have a better chance of achieving realistic objectives which are sustainable for the long term.

I also advised a group of students installing small-scale electrical generating facilities in small villages in northern Thailand which had been devastated by floods. Finally, I facilitated a group of primary and secondary teachers, staff and administrators developing a new timetable for the school.

I also was runner-up for a statewide "Innovative Teacher of the Year" award where I developed a property surveying course to teach geometry and trigonometry using surveying tools. I was also able to help secure summer jobs for students in surveying who had taken this course.
