I am a PhD student at RWTH university Aachen.My PhD research involves protein engineering, targeting the pharmaceutical market. The goal is to replace the use of animal products with fermentation based alternatives. I also work on directed evolution, optimizing and creating new selection techniques to engineer enzymes and proteins more quickly and cheaply.Outside the lab, I am also a PhD Venture Fellow, at the venture capital firm Creator Fund, where I predominantly perform due diligence on biotech, deep tech and advanced materials startups.
