• Disrupted the Workforce Technology sector by launching an industry leading SaaS Vendor Management System (VMS). Built a technology team and led the architecture, user experience and software engineering through to multiple production releases. Additionally, led the creation of the customer service and support infrastructure for the VMS product.• The Cloud-based VMS supported revenue growth for the division by 20%+ CAGR over 5 years (2014 to 2019).• An IT infrastructure overhaul was necessary. A detailed analysis of operating expenses, restructuring and service deployment optimization resulted in savings of 6 positions. Significant savings was also found in software and service agreements. After the effort was completed, total savings realized was nearly $2M annually. The IT overhaul, which included replacing nearly 20 year old data center infrastructure with Cloud infrastructure, resulted in zero unplanned production downtime and no major support issues.• Instituted a company-wide ticketing and project tracking system. This lowered costs in multiple areas, from software licensing and end-user support as well as server maintenance costs while improving interdepartmental project communications and workflows.• Spearheaded the company’s expansion into Mexico. Involved in recruiting initial team members, establishing the first workspace and creating HR processes and policies for the International location. The result of this expansion was the ability to recruit and employ technology talent we were unable to locate in San Diego which also reduced costs significantly.• Led the company-wide Work from Home initiative. Just before Covid-19 became urgent, the need for swift action to order the hardware the company needed to work remotely took priority. Just before the supply chain shortage the devices were ordered, configured, and deployed. This effort included technology and security changes, internal policy creation and a training program.

• Led clients to success utilizing a combination of marketing and technology. Custom end-to-end business process solutions were designed, developed and implemented. This included writing internal policies as well as client end-user trainings.• Worked with a number of non-profit organizations to help them implement technology and marketing systems and processes making the organizations more efficient and more effective at fundraising.• Worked with many startups to assist them in obtaining investment capital by developing a combination of presentations and technology demonstrations.• To assist in recovering missing or lost technology play books and maintenance documentation we would reverse-engineer complex, undocumented, custom software and integrated systems for the purpose of taking an unmaintainable system and making it scalable, maintainable and reproducible.• Developed custom hardware for a mobile payment and embedded control system.

• Built and led a technology team for a medical industry print company.• In 2002 architected, developed and launched a WYSIWYG website creator for medical professionals. Upon launch, nearly 3/4 of the client subscribed to the new service.• Disrupted the Electronics Components Catalog industry by meeting with multiple suppliers and developing a parts search engine which normalized data between manufacturers. This was the first of its kind at the time.• Replaced the company’s PBX with a VoIP Digital PBX that included a custom integration with their custom CRM system. This saved time, deployment costs, and maintenance costs.• Replaced aging and costly IT infrastructure with newer open-source server technologies where possible.

• Coordinated IT, support and internal solutions for Motorola's SATCOM (Iridium) division.

• Transitioned to freelance consulting as many emerging technology opportunities were opening up in the industry. The projects were 100% custom integration and system development.

• Led development of custom interactive multimedia for a large education client.• Learned and documented a proprietary media authoring development environment. Once the standard processes were established, a new process was developed taking the total development cycle time down from 60 days down to 2 weeks.

• Technical instructor for two projects. The first, hiring and training technical support engineers for an Apple consumer products call center. The second, Windows NT technology instructor. These projects were initially started with training content provided by the call center client. After several waves of successful trainings, the client allowed me to modify the content to be more effective for the candidates that were going through the program.
