• Manage the Security Operations Center for Ally. I lead a team of analyst that provide timely communications and actionable intelligence to support the protection of our associates, assets/intellectual property, and infrastructure. Director of Loss Prevention & Safety is responsible for protecting and securing company assets and Team Members in supply chain, the corporate facility and the hangar; and for reducing and controlling company losses due to shrink, general liability claims, workers compensation claims fraud or theft. I manage and direct the work of Regional Managers of Loss Prevention - Supply Chain while overseeing the financial responsibility for loss prevention and occupational safety for the Supply Chain division. This includes includes distribution centers, and third-party satellite locations with an average combined annual sales volume of $8 billion. I oversee a budget of 4 million dollars to maintain and improve equipment in the DC’s and corporate campus. I have foster a rapport with the VP of Distribution, Distribution Management, Human Resources, Transportation, local law enforcement, emergency response teams and other government officials. I continue to develop, execute and maintain loss prevention & safety compliance initiatives. I have responsibility for the mail service centers at corporate and all and ensure best practices are in place to drive safety and efficiency.

Oversee capital deployment and new technology as it relates to Loss Prevention; responsible for a $12M budget. Supervise a team of two Senior Loss Prevention Managers, three Loss Prevention Managers and three contractors. Manage budgets for new and existing stores. Source new technologies, physical security and effective vendor partnerships for all locations. Direct the physical and merchandise-related security features of all new and existing locations; define the risk analysis, auditing, and ranking of the location and manage outsourced installations of security systems, burglar alarms, fire alarms, locks/cores, surveillance and merchandise security. Oversee Loss Prevention operations for new store openings; remodel sources, select vendors, and manage stakeholder relationships; ensure that support drives Loss Prevention to meet inventory shrink cost goals and mitigate expenses. Monitor vendors to guarantee their work is within SLA guidelines. Collaborate with business partners through all lines of business; includes merchandising, construction and internal procurement to implement merchandise physical security features. Conduct facility audits to ensure compliance and status of prevention initiatives.

Northeastern Region

Executed asset protection programs for 40 stores, while managing a team of seven Loss Prevention Area Managers and one Auditor; area of responsibility totaled approximately 800 stores and included all overall supervisory responsibilities (e.g., hiring, assigning and directing work, and evaluating performance). Assessed store procedures to ensure protection of inventory, cash, equipment and other company assets. Initiated and conducted investigations and store audits for multiple stores with minimal oversight from Divisional Vice Presidents of Loss Prevention and the Vice President of Loss Prevention. Fostered positive working relationships with corporate work groups (e.g., Store Operations, Human Resources, Legal, Accounting, etc.) and local law enforcement to implement programs based on observations; made recommendations to improve inventory shrinkage and store operations. Facilitated training efforts for Area Loss Prevention Managers and Auditor; included delivering Loss Prevention certification/training courses and implementing departmental coaching tools (e.g., Loss Prevention Procedural Manual). Collaborated with Store Operations team to interview potential team members and train Store Managers in asset protection programs and methods. Promoted company’s store-centered commitment to customers, service and sales.

Assumed full responsibility for 230 locations; managed two Area Loss Prevention Managers. Worked with Store Operations to protect assets; included proactive programs and control shrink; also served as an internal consultant for Store Operations on Human Resources Departments regarding legal issues and investigations. Decreased inventory losses through monitoring company programs to identify theft and/or fraud. Trained and coached District, Store and Assistant Managers; provided training in Loss Prevention and other legal areas e.g., new Manager orientation, integrity interviewing, safety and Worker’s Compensation. Conducted special investigations e.g., wage/hour and sexual harassment cases. Built a working partnership with the Regional Vice President regarding personnel issues related to Loss Prevention and other legal matters.
