As a trusted team member currently specializing as a Thin Films Metrology technician, daily tasks focus on semiconductor metrology equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. This encompasses hardware work involving pneumatics, electronics, mechanics, as well as software maintenance. Extraneous tasks include statistical measurement evaluation, digital maintenance, training, and NPIs. During the time spent as an enlisted sailor, two main job roles were fulfilled over the course of multiple years in a high-pressure environment. The first was within the aviation fuels department, which consisted of active regulation of the flow of jet fuel throughout the ship using a complicated internal piping system, and maintenance on said system. The second was shop-level avionics, involving the testing and repair of various subsystems from a variety of helicopters and Harrier jets. Bench testing, PCB troubleshooting, logistics, and equipment repair were the most commonly performed tasks. Honorable discharge after 5.5 years in service, followed by two years in the Navy Reserve.
