An excellent personal resource for all students who seek financial aid and advice while attending the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. I strive for 100% customer satisfaction in answering all questions and concerns related to a student's balance, financial aid package, financial literacy, and budgeting for living in New York City. I work with students to keep their student debt at manageable levels and to work with them on understanding their indebtedness and repayment options once classes are over.Half of the team that awarded over $30,000,000 to almost 900 students for the 2017-2018 academic year. Reconciles funding and disbursement for all student aid, including University wide and federal compliance reporting.Works closely with staff of all eight Mailman programs, Career Services, Sponsored Billing, and Student Financial services to create funding for students, process stipends, and resolve issues surrounding students’ balances.Uses pivot tables to create reports for Finance and Institutional Advancement on institutional funding and student allocations.Updates and maintain student information on federal and university computer systems: PowerFAIDS, SIS, Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) Web site; National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS)

Provides counseling services related to veterans' benefits and financial aid, and provides information regarding resources specific to veterans. Coordinates Yellow Ribbon Program participation. Supports the planning, organizing, and execution of educational and outreach events/orientation for Veterans in collaboration with the schools.Performs all functions related to assisting veterans with financial aid processing, including counseling students on availability of aid, completing required forms, outlining educational financing options and debt management issues, resolving problems, and responding to student inquiries.Liaises with schools/divisions, including individuals in admissions, financial aid, academic, health services and student services areas, to provide counseling and resolve problems for students and veterans Monitors aid eligibility, resolves awards, and makes student financial aid budget adjustments as necessary to insure the accuracy of the aid Compiles all necessary supporting documents in partnership with Student Financial Services for allVeteran students in need
