I graduated from La Cité Collégiale Ontario in 1993 with an Electronics Technician / Computer programming diploma. My courses included Computer Programming, Troubleshooting, Semi-Conductors and learning about computer and internet security. I also took courses in Microsoft products.College gave me much more than an education. It taught me discipline, organization, tolerance, how to work under pressure and how to respect others. These attributes are what have proven to be very useful to me during my working career.From 2000 through 2008, I was responsible for providing technical and computer support 42 office employees and 37 field representatives. This included daily technical support for our telecommunications systems, reporting systems, servers and mainly office helpdesk support. I was responsible for office equipment security, disaster recovery planning and testing, office refreshes, implementing new systems, deployment of new systems, security patches and testing our systems prior to those patches being deployed. I also maintained and built databases for office purposes, especially for our accounting department.From 2008 until September 2015, I was responsible for providing technical and computer support to 12 office employees and 37 field representatives. The office was downsized as a way to reduce costs. As well, General Motors was one of the top automakers struggling in the automobile business world. I was still responsible for technical support, troubleshooting, office security, office refreshes, disaster recovery and planning, server and server room support and telecommunications support. Over the years I have also worked alongside EDS, HP, IBM, Avaya Telecom, AT & T, Citrix and Black Berry.I am now looking to change my career back to the field of Information and Technology. I am very interested and driven by the IT environment. I love learning new technologies and welcome challenges.
