Based on his breath testing expertise, Eric is a speaker at various medical conferences regarding breath testing for digestive disorders and has been interviewed for various trade publications and television. He is frequently sought by various institutions for specialized breath testing solutions, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to create breath collection systems for research studies conduction on the International Space Station.Eric’s integral role with QuinTron led to the creation of multiple patented product designs for the breath testing market. In addition to growing the original breath testing market performed in hospitals and gastroenterology clinics, Eric arranged and provided philanthropic donations to various naturopathic medical colleges and associations which allows these sites to both perform research and provide clinical care to patients throughout the United States and Canada.Furthermore, in 2010 Eric founded another company designed specifically to assist patients who cannot afford or do not have easy access to traditional breath testing performed at hospitals and clinics. This allows patients to purchase breath test kits to collect their samples at their convenience then have the analysis performed on state of the art analyzers with general results provided directly to the patient for their physician to review.In February 2016, a separate non-profit organization was created by Eric to provide continuing education to the medical field on a variety of underserved health topics.In addition to his professional work, Eric is an Honorary Fellow and Pioneer Circle Member with the Institute of Natural Medicine, a Gold Corporate Sponsor with the Wisconsin Naturopathic Doctors Association, and is also a Gold Partner with the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM). In 2011 Eric helped establish the SIBO Center at NUNM in Portland, Oregon specializing in Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) breath testing which set a model for six additional universities across the United States with a means to incorporate this specialized testing into their clinics for education and public health as well as being a major donor for the Naturopathic Education and Residency Consortium (NERC) to provide accredited community based residency opportunities for Naturopathic Physicians.
