I have close to 30 years of experience using finite element analysis to simulate the nonlinear, dynamic responses of structures (civil and otherwise) to shock and other impulsive loads, including airblast, underwater explosions, ground shock, and impact. I also have about 15 years of experience using computational fluid dynamics to model airex and undex, as well as running coupled CFD/FEA simulations. These tools allow me to tackle problems ranging from weapons effects, design of hardened structures, critical infrastructure protection, hostile vehicle mitigation, disproportionate collapse, forensic investigations, and explosive demolition.
