Represent the International Space Station (ISS) Chief Engineer on the ISS Safety Review Panel. I ensure Engineering requirements are correctly applied to flight hardware and experimental payloads to be operated on the ISS. Am the primary advisor to the ISRP chair on all matters involving Engineering requirements and its involvement in assisting hardware providers apply ISS safety requirements to the their hardware. Coordinate Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) participation in assessing hardware for flight to ensure the safety of the ISS and its crew. Participate in hardware safety reviews and apply my experience in writing safety assessments to the review of safety packages and associated hazard reports.

Served as Facility Inspection Branch Chief, OPA 90 Branch Chief, and Port Operations Branch Chief.-Facility Inspections-Supervised up to 6 personnel. Inspected waterfront facilities to ensure compliance with Code of Federal Regulations dealing with pollution prevention and safety.-OPA 90 Branch Chief-In charge of reviewing waterfront facility OPA 90 pollution prevention manuals.-Port Operations Branch Chief-Supervised 8 personnel. Responsible for inspecting foreign vessel documentation and pollution prevention equipment. Also was responsible for coordinating vessel traffic restrictions in the Port of Houston.

Damage Control Assistant qualified and able to combat fires, flooding, and Chemical, Biological and Radiological (CBR) attack. Qualified as Engineer of the Watch which entailed operating up to three enginerooms and up to 10 engineering personnal on duty. Qualified as a deck officer--responsible for controlling the movements of the ship and ensuring the crew fulfill the routine of the day.
