As the Distribution Center Manager I lead a team of Distribution Center (DC) associates in all general DC activities. Such activities include overseeing day to day order processing, inventory control, and transportation decisions. Additional responsibilities include facility management, expense control, site safety and security. This is a highly visible role. I work with both local and national sales teams in a time sensitive, transactional work environment. I lead, train and develop associates in a fast paced work environment. In addition, I manage a relationship between OmniCable and a local 3PL warehouse to ensure adherence to contract terms, agreed upon service levels, and cost controls.

Manage warehouse staff. Set department priorities. Manage Inventory Control, Production Control, Order Fulfillment, Facility and Supplies. Responsible For OSHA compliance. Responsible for process flow improvements including procedure creation and modifications. Responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating staff while maintaining records for each. Responsible for maintaining all aspects of ISO 9001 compliance as it pertains to warehouse operations. Perform procedure auditing daily. Act as an internal auditor in preparation for annual ISO 9001 certification audit. Oversee multiple production schedules to ensure accuracy and feasibility of commitments. Arrange warehouse resources and manage all variables that may impact the warehouse's ability meet scheduled requirements. Manage cleanroom operation and the "work in process" that moves through the cleanroom. Manage all aspects of inventory control from warehouse layout, inventory discrepancies, cycle counts, inventory locations, inventory identification, inventory movement and trace-ability. Manage all aspects of shipping (including international and freight shipping) and receiving and order fulfillment including custom packaging requirements for all customers.
