The resposibilities of this postion include but are not limited to: review and make food and beverage purchases within budget requirements, develop and standardize recipes, maintain safety and sanitation standards, maintain equipment including repairs, updates, and replacement as needed, design food presentation aesthetics, plan and prepare special menu items as well as create the menu designs, interviewing, hiring, training and supervising all kitchen personnel including giving performance reviews, pay increases and disciplinary action, weekly production reports, monthly inventory of all culinary supplies, communicate with other department leaders to coordinate events and insure quality service, communicate with the resident council to insure residents are satisfied with menu options and food quality.
