Hello! I'm Eric Howells, a Business Computer Information Systems student at the University of North Texas, where I blend my passion for technology with a keen interest in business processes. My academic journey is deeply influenced by my real-world experience in IT and my ambition to lead in the realm of IT management.My career began as an IT Support Technician at AISD, where I honed vital skills in Hardware troubleshooting, user support, and network Troubleshooting. This role was more than a job; it was a hands-on education in the practical aspects of information systems and user interaction. It also ignited my interest in Business and cybersecurity, prompting me to delve deeper into the intricacies of protecting companies' digital assets and information in our increasingly connected world.At UNT, my coursework has furthered this interest, particularly in areas such as network security, data protection, and Object-Oriented Programming. These studies have not only solidified my technical foundation but also sharpened my strategic thinking about how IT can be leveraged to safeguard and empower businesses.My ultimate goal is to transition into IT management within cybersecurity.
