I am an executive leader in the Financial Services industry with nearly 30 years of experience spanning Risk Management, Treasury, Accounting, and Operations.Most recently, I spent 17+ years at King Street Capital Management, a $20+ billion global alternative asset-manager, as Director of Finance and Director of Risk Management. In this role, I led the development of an institutional class risk management infrastructure and process, primarily utilizing technology developed in-house with King Street’s Technology team. I helped navigate King Street’s global, multi-asset class portfolio through the Global Financial Crisis, the European Sovereign Debt Crisis, and the volatile COVID period. In addition to leading King Street’s Risk Committee, I also served on the Valuation Committee, New Products Committee, ESG Steering Committee, BCP Committee, Data Science Group, and Brokerage Committee, and frequently participated in Investment Committee meetings. As the firm grew over these 17 years, I played a key role in establishing the backoffice and risk management infrastructure for new business initiatives such as a CLO platform, Real Estate Funds, a Credit Opportunity Fund (to capitalize on COVID related dislocations), a Private Credit Fund, and a fund focusing on illiquid assets.Prior to King Street, I spent 9 years at Goldman Sachs in the Product Controllers group focusing on commodities (and related derivatives) and managing teams focused on Equity Derivatives and Credit Derivatives (including structured credit). In this role, I was responsible for performance analysis, balance sheet management, valuation, and building out new technology to support growing businesses. Additionally, I was involved in the integration of the businesses and infrastructure of Spear Leeds Kellogg and the Hull Group (large equity derivatives market maker) upon acquisition by Goldman Sachs.
