Eric Jansen established EJ-Projects in 2007, specialising in integrated design analysis and particularly focusing on dynamic load scenarios. With over 25 years of experience as a development engineer in aerospace, turbo-machinery, and wind turbine technology, his expertise spans various domains including loads, hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, structural dynamics, control systems, and aeromechanics.EJ-Projects’ core competency lies in turbine engineering and functional interface control, with a strong emphasis on comprehensive modelling and simulation compliant with EASA/FAA Airworthiness Regulations and IEC/DNV Standards. This involves establishing the technical design basis for product development lifecycles in these demanding technology sectors.Eric has collaborated with companies across the Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom. His contributions have been diverse, covering aero-engine design, (aero-)structures integration, energy conversion systems, computing, and engineering software development. Leveraging analytical and numerical methods, he has demonstrated proficiency in product development, conducting thorough analyses, employing problem-solving skills, and offering support in technology concepts, model-based design, and certification processes including type certificates and project certification.Eric’s work encompasses a wide variety of systems, ranging from established state-of-the-art designs to innovative multi-rotor configurations. His cross-industry project experience in Loads and Dynamics Engineering is founded on a solid mathematical modelling background encompassing multi-physics multibody system dynamics and global finite element techniques. In his daily tasks, Eric employs a suite of sophisticated software tools tailored to his expertise. Among these tools are NASTRAN for finite element analysis and dedicated software for exploring rotorcraft aeromechanics. For scripting and technical computing, he relies on MATLAB, while VABS/GEBT fulfil his requirements for advanced materials modelling, particularly in composite blade analysis. Additionally, he utilises DNV BLADED modelling software for Integrated Load Analysis in the design and optimisation of both bottom-fixed and floating wind turbines as well as their support structures.For developing specialised design and data analysis tools tailored to specific project requirements, Eric employs programming languages such as PYTHON, FORTRAN, C, and DELPHI.
