Current Wildlife Director for the Nez Perce Tribe since October 2022. I worked for the Nez Perce Biological Control Center for 11 years prior to becoming employee for the Wildlife Division. I have a degree in Natural Science and Mathematics and I am graduate from Lewis-Clark State College. Experienced in Geographical Information Systems (G.I.S.), statistics, mathematics, research & management, identifying, collection, and re-distribution of biological control agents and noxious weeds. Extensive knowledge in data collection entered into our bio control data base for utilization of reporting to interdepartmental agencies. Supervised and led employees in field work as well as collaborating with other teams from other agencies throughout the northwest. Knowledgeable in greenhouse and field insectaries where organisms are reared for re-distribution to problematic areas throughout the Northwest. Very knowledgeable in invasive weed inventory in the wilderness, public, tribal, state, BLM, and Army Corp. of Engineer lands. Have written numerous report deliverables on invasive weed inventory and given recommendations on land re-habilitation to other key agencies of land management. Skilled in presentation of work conducted by our team to help educate and promote awareness on invasive weed management. Knowledgeable in back country survival and wilderness first aid. Physically fit, have worked in the backcountry for 10 years staying out 5 days at a time to physically be on work site to conduct work. Highly interactive with US Forest service, Idaho Fish and Game, Nez Perce Fisheries watershed, and Army Corp of engineer and USDA APHIS (Animal Plant Health Inspection Service) agencies.I spent 14 Years with the Nez Perce Fisheries department where I gained extensive knowledge in Fish Husbandry. I helped to care for numerous fish species in Coho, and Chinook Salmon as well as Steelhead and Rainbow trout. Experienced in leading tribal hatchery crews in conducting daily activities feeding, cleaning, morting and data collection. Coordination of target growth projections for fish species through transcribing data collection to meet certain goals. Entering data into database for collection and meeting fish requirement goals. Experienced in Electroshock fishing for targeting steelhead trout species in numerous small streams throughout the Nez Perce Tribal reservation for study. Lead multiple work assignments in tribal satellite work facilities in collecting and distribution of various fish species for acclimation to to native rivers and streams for release.
