Project Experience Arterial Street Resurfacing Program (North Area) – Chicago, ILResident Engineer: Providing construction management services for CDOT's $10-15 million a year Arterial Resurfacing Program. The project’s scope of work includes resurfacing and reconstructing 15 miles annually of arterial streets (12+ separate locations), sidewalk improvements for ADA compliant ramps in accordance with current CDOT standards. Roadway improvements also include utility upgrades, new curbs and gutters, new lighting and traffic signals, & landscaped medians. Responsibilities include providing contractor collaboration, issue resolution, field inspection oversight, administering contractor payments, change management, maintaining contract documentation, and coordination with numerous project stakeholders.Oakwood Blvd over Metra/CN RR ReconstructionAssistant RE: CDOT Construction Engineering for removal and reconstruction of historic bridge in Chicago's Oakland neighborhood. The scope of construction includes: Staged removal of the viaduct structure and replacement with new steel multi-girder structures with high performance reinforced concrete decks, piers, and abutments on deep foundations; Structural concrete repair and crack sealing of approach retaining walls; Architectural pre-cast concrete façade elements; Roadway reconstruction; Lighting, traffic signal, and electrical work; Installation of new and adjustment of existing drainage structures; Temporary relocation and reconnection of Metra Electric overhead wires.Illinois Tollway – Irving Park (IL-19) Road Widening – Assistant Resident Engineer: Phase III Construction Engineering services for the construction of the Irving Park Widening from York Road to Taft Avenue.Utility Coordinator: Construction oversight services for the construction of joint utility duct banks and relocations of utility services along York Rd and Touhy Ave that were being impacted by the Tollway’s Elgin O’Hare Western Access project.

Brooklyn Bridge

Project ExperienceBrooklyn Bridge Rehabilitation of the Approach Spans and Ramps and Painting of the Entire Bridge, Contract 6, New York, NY; 9/13-Present. Senior Civil Inspector. This project involves construction management and inspection services for the $509-million rehabilitation of this Iconic National Landmark. The scope of work for the project includes replacement of approach roadway in Manhattan and Brooklyn over the arch blocks; rehabilitation of the Manhattan side ramp structures with widening and deck and bearing replacements; rehabilitation of the approach steel structures with full superstructure replacement of the York and Main Street structures and orthotropic deck installation at Franklin Square; seismic retrofitting of the main bridge, Franklin Square and ramp structures; painting of the ramp structures and suspended spans in their entirety; restoration of historic features. My responsibilities include performing inspection of procedures that deal with civil or structural aspects of the project; reporting and submitting payment for work performed; scheduling inspectors for daily work assignments; daily coordination with the construction contractor and the New York City Dept. of Transportation, planning, monitoring and tracking completion of over 4,000 steel repairs (NYS Flag and miscellaneous) on the suspended spans; and assisting office engineers with change orders, payments, and quantity take offs. ExperienceWorked in the Mechanical/Civil Design Engineering Department to implement engineering changes, corrective action plans, and improvement programs to ensure the safety of nuclear components within the plant. Day to day work included developing drawings, calculations, specifications and detailed design for fabrication of new and modification of existing plant equipment and systems.
