As the office director for SWCA's Las Vegas and Reno operations and a sr. project manager, I have both technical and management responsibilities including: Managing the local office P&L; Preparing the annual office business plan and acting as a senior contributor to the southwest regional plan; Actively working to expand our client base and services; Coordinating all marketing and project efforts in Nevada; Managing key nationwide clients; Managing multiple, complex, high-priority projects with multi-discipline environmental challenges; Supervising and preparing requirements related to National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA), Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act (BGEPA), and related disciplines; Supervising and mentoring staff; and, collaborating with SWCA’s managers and directors on both technical and business development efforts throughout the company. My professional focus is on environmental management services and natural resource management with an emphasis on energy projects. I began working on energy projects in 2000 and have since worked on more than 60 wind and solar generation projects in ten states, including assessing potential fatal flaws, completing environmental surveys, NEPA compliance, and federal, state and local permitting. I have worked closely with the USFWS and other federal and state agencies to develop Bird and Bat Conservation Strategies and Eagle Conservation Plans to address compliance with the ESA, MBTA, and BGEPA. I am also a highly experienced ESA and NEPA practitioner, having worked on over 50 Environmental Assessments and 19 Environmental Impact Statements for agencies including the BLM, NPS, USFS, and USFWS. I have extensive experience working with federal agencies to consult with the USFWS on ESA Section 7 issues and supporting clients with ESA Section 10 compliance.
