- Main assignments consist of drafting plow edges, lips, mining buckets, truck boxes, liners, chutes, grizzlies and conceptual engineering designs.- Receive detailing and drafting tasks. Construct conceptual designs provided by customer details/sketches. Mock up 3D objects/parts or an assembly of parts using Solid Edge software. Proceed to bring in model to paper space and draft assembly and parts showing critical dimensions, cross sections, weld preps etc.- CNC programming of all sheet metal parts. Transfer files from solid edge to AutoCAD to create DXF files. Use correct layers for cutting, drilling, counter boring, countersinking, tapping, scribing and beveling. - Work with engineers to go through a review process of all drawings before it is set for approval and pushed out to the shop floor.- Make revisions to drawings that come back either from customers, or engineering changes. - Write up standard drafting process using Solid Edge. - Travel on-site with engineers to mock up sketches and take measurements of truck boxes, buckets, liners and other mining related items.- Respond to questions from shop operators and program nesters concerning drawings or programs. Discuss changes and possible fixes.

- Draft up structural steel beams(WT, HSS, W), angles, connections, industrial platforms, grizzly's, liners etc, using CAD. - CNC programing for all beams, columns, angles and plate. Send all files to corresponding shop operators.- Manage job organization. Create proper folders for all customer supplied drawings, emails, questions, estimates, programs for certain big projects. Provide shop floor with approved drawings.- Minimal estimating projects for structural steel.- Participate in weekly meetings with superiors and managers to review process of all on-going jobs and performance and estimate our time needed and given.- Travel on-site with estimators to talk with customers and take measurements for structural projects.

Shop Laborer Position (4 Summers):- Help crew clean the shop. General housekeeping.- Plasma cut metal sheets.- Use heavy machinery to cut, bend, drill, grind steel pieces (Beams, Columns, Angles, Plate)- Organize metal stock.Estimator Position (3 Summers):- Create estimate reports. - Go on-site with superior to take measures and talk to customers for structural steel projects.
