Identifying outstanding warrants in the District boundaries and assigning the warrants to members for execution. Investigate all complaints from the CRC, CCC, CYOC and the SAFPIC where the suspect is resident in the given institution independently.Interview victims, witnesses, and suspects. Prepare search warrants andproduction orders to meet Canada Evidence Act requirements andexecute court orders.Establish a strong rapport and maintain liaison between the Calgary Remand Centre (CRC), the Calgary Correctional Centre (CCC), the Calgary Young Offenders Centre (CYOC) and the Southern Alberta Forensic Psychiatric Unit (SAFPIC) staff.Provide assistance to outside police agencies regarding the execution ofcourt orders, warrants, Mutual Legal Assistance Orders and otherinvestigative inquiries.Provide assistance, advice and direction to members of the CPS.Assist members holding specialty portfolios such as HROP, POET, DOT and other investigators in respect ongoing operations that may have suspects in one of the institutions.Support to district Crime Reduction Strategies through the sharing of information and intelligence.
