In beginning of 2017 I started my own company. I have been contracted to lead and perform part of the structural work of a GVA designed floating oil production platform. My role has been to lead a team that performed structural verification work, prepare schedule, budget, plan and coordinate the work performed in Sweden, USA and partly at Samsung Heavy Industry (SHI) shipyard in South Korea. In addition to this review and prepare construction drawings, keep contact with SHI and GVA, visit shipyard and report progress to GVA. We delivered on time and within the budgeted hours.

Working on site for the ship-owner Songa Offshore, they had contracted DSME shipyard in South Korea to build four GVA 4000 Cat D semi-submersibles drilling platforms, contract value was over $2 billion. Responsible to ensure that DSME built according to rules and regulations, as well as owner requirement for the disciplines: Structure, Marine Outfitting, Naval Architecture, Work Environment. In addition to this make sure that the Material Handling plan and the lifting equipment where in accordance with NORSOK R002 for all rooms and areas. Verification was done with help of 3D model reviews, drawings, reports and material handling plans. Daily work consisted of keeping contact with the shipyard and class society as well as doing site survey.

I am working as a structural interface engineer at SHI for the construction of the Jack and St Malo FPU. The work consist of monitoring and analyze penetrations in the hull and make sure that the design philosophy is maintained. This work require that I am out in the shipyard to monitor the block assembly, and make sure that the shipyard follow the design drawings.

I started my career at GVA as a draftsman and analysis engineer, and during my time at GVA I were involved in all step from drawing, analysis to construction of semi submersible at SHI shipyard in South Korea. The analysis were local FE analyses, overall global structural FE analyses to detailed fatigue analyses of critical sections in the hull. In addition to this working as Structural Lead Engineer in different Semi Submersible and FPSO projects.
