District Manager
Current• Oversee the daily operations of nine storage facilities in Michigan. Monitor staff performance and procedural compliance, vendor relations, and researched/resolved any facility maintenance or service issues.• Recruits, hires, coaches and retains an engaged team of managers by demonstrating initiative and leading by example. Participates in weekly conference calls to discuss district performance with management staff and set weekly goals. Leads monthly meetings to review company initiatives and district performance (merchandise sales, occupancy, move-ins and past due accounts). Engages with staff through role-playing to improve performance and assisted customers to better demonstrate effective sales and service techniques. • Ensures that team members demonstrate sales-focused and customer-centric behaviors when interacting with customers to determine customer requirements and provide storage and asset protection options tailored to each client’s needs and budget, including up-sales of packing and storage materials available on-site. • Administers regular property audits, ensuring properties are safe and met company operational standards. Manages payroll, repair and maintenance and expense budgets and P&L statements. Monitors monthly facility maintenance and repair budgets, and negotiated service and repair pricing with vendors. • Conducts annual employee performance reviews with an emphasis on encouraging employee progress and growth. Analyzes labor hours and schedules personnel to ensure appropriate staffing levels during peak periods or during absences.
