As the Director of Sustainable Innovation at Nike, Dr. Eric King leads an enterprise-wide, science-based innovation agenda to meet Nike's sustainability goals. He has over 7 years of experience in developing and executing strategies that leverage impact analytics, partnerships, materials innovation, advanced manufacturing, circular economy, open innovation, and brand leadership to create positive environmental and social outcomes.Dr. King is also a co-founder of Gun by Gun, a social enterprise that crowdfunds gun buyback programs and drives a new conversation on gun violence in America. He is passionate about using science, innovation, and partnerships to address some of the most pressing challenges of our time. Prior to joining Nike, he was an Innovation Specialist at USAID, where he embedded science, technology, innovation, and partnerships to accelerate USAID's fight to end global poverty. He has a PhD in Geophysics and Space Physics from UCLA and a BS in Mathematical Physics from SUNY Binghamton.
