I wear mostly three hats. As the senior data analyst for the office I conduct special studies and research (mostly for the Gov's office) and manage reporting. As the Operations Manager (current title) I built and administer our office wide accounting system that manages expense preapprovals, contracts/PO's, and invoices, as well as tracks budgets. Most recently I have started working in Local Government Outreach under two former City Mayor's. Executive Director in charge of Indivisible brand growth, outreach and recruitment for a D.C. chapter that grew from nothing to over 1,700 members during my tenure. Led media communications, coordinating strategy for political campaigns at the local and national level, and managing the officers for 5 sub-committees of the chapter.

I worked in the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.I worked for the Federal Energy Management Program which promotes energy efficiency in buildings. I conducted data analysis, program analysis, operations analysis, and a variety of technical support work for various programs.

Provided regulatory process consulting for stakeholder input at FERC, political analysis and advice on strategic engagement with Congress, as well as strategic messaging and communications support.

I am in charge of data from the state's Seed-To-Sale tracking system, and using that data to communicate program performance to stakeholders. Since we don't have that system yet, I am currently working on internal business consulting to synthesize requirements for our software developer. I am also responsible for several reports to the Legislature making recommendations on high-profile policy issues. I provide leadership and support for inter-agency work groups on revenue and taxation as well as energy and environmental issues. I coordinate inter-agency policy formulation and am negotiating an inter-agency agreement. I also help to prepare for our rule-making process. In sum, I am a policy strategist. I think at a high-level about the kinds of questions we will have to gather data for to answer in the future.

I worked on various projects for the Administrator of the Policy, Planning and Technical Analysis division. Among these, I was largely responsible for Transportation policy and advancing the goals in the Governor's 10-Year Energy Plan related to alternative fuel use in large vehicle fleets. I gathered data about public- and private-sector fleet fuel usage, conducted analysis of this data and made policy recommendations to help enhance the transition to alternative fuels in the state. I also participated in several inter-departmental and external work-groups (such as with the PCC), helped with outreach coordination, and performed analytical work and research on various other energy technology areas. Examples include organizing a conference on energy storage development in the region, providing research and analysis for a market analysis on biofuels in the state, analyzing regulations and contracts in the area of marine power transmission, or writing legislative requests for information on things such as natural gas market structures. I also did a lot of side projects for the agency: I performed technical analysis on energy projects proposed for tax credits, I was the lead GIS analyst for my division, and I did a lot of customer service/outreach for program services. I also represented the agency at many external events in order to develop stakeholder relationships.

I provided some part-time lecturing in debate theory and strategy to a community college team after I decided to move back home.

I analyzed programs, policies, and regulations concerning on-shore oil & gas pipelines and transportation related facilities, as it pertained to the jurisdiction of PHMSA. I provided in-depth analysis of the efficacy of rules, policies and programs, which included regulatory analysis, financial analysis, and program evaluation, as well as the predictive analysis of current and emerging safety risks. I also completed many one-off analyses concerning emerging safety issues and industry-wide trends, and represented the agency at many external events to develop stakeholder relationships.Additionally, I received significant training in management and leadership skills and principles.

In the Office of Energy Market Regulation, I would work on projects associated with natural gas pipeline regulation, specifically the regulation of interstate and intrastate natural gas transportation contracts and tariffs. I conducted regulatory research and wrote draft legal letter orders for the Commission. I conducted analysis of rate-base data files submitted by industry, analyzed financial statements, and provided ongoing analysis for re-hearing cases.

Conducted climate change, energy and environmental policy research and writing. Wrote a paper on micro-drip irrigation techniques and co-authored a report on the ultra-low sulfur diesel switchover.Attended numerous climate- and energy-related conferences, lectures, speaker panels and networking events.Helped edit, format and produce the institute’s quarterly publication.Added entries to the ClimateLab wiki-database, and worked on projects as assigned by John Topping, Founder and President of CI.

I help coach a team of over 30 in the theory and practice of competitive debate. I help manage tournament and travel logistics.I perform a variety of background research on hundreds of issues related to state/national/international current events and policy.

Largely responsible for Statistical- and Literature-based research and writing. My project concerned itself with climate-change science and human adaptation policy. I researched, wrote, edited and published an in-depth research report on the science and policy surrounding climate-change in Oregon, with specific focus paid to the impact this change will have on low-income individuals.

Main responsibility was to summarize hundreds of past labor arbitration cases for reference purposes, in order to establish past precedent.Also responsible for compiling labor research into presentable graphs and other evaluative instruments.
