Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, cooking, feeding, and mobility. Administering medications, managing prescriptions, and monitoring any side effects or adverse reactions. As well as providing household management, record-keeping, transportation, and medical appointments. In this position, I learn to deal with stress and react appropriately in life-threatening situations.

Houghton, Mi

Assisted in teaching geochemistry and remote sensing curriculum and associated course materials to facilitate the develop and insterest of students. Analyzed geomorphological processes (i.e. fluvial hydrology), planning provisions in mitigating natural multi-hazards (i.e. floods, lahars) and ground pollutants using Aqtesolv, MODflow, HEC-RAS and the ArcGIS. Evaluated technical and social feasibility of tapping water in abandoned mines for geothermal heating & cooling, presented results to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Washington DC (publish). Analyzed seismic data, designed hazard maps and proposed mitigatingtechniques for the scientists at Pacaya volcano in Guatemala using ArcMAP and the FEMA-MH plugin to increase resilience.Used tiltmeter, Real Time Kinematic (RTK) satellite navigation and handheld Trimble GPS with Digital Geophysical Mapping (DGM) techniques.

Taboar, Tanzania

I taught science for the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training in Tabora, Tanzania Africa. To improve students and teacher’s achievement in Math, Science, and English proficiency and comprehension. Not limited to interacting within the community and surrounding areas to build cross-cultural relationships in a rural and harsh environment where natural resources are limited. I advocated women empowerment and violence against women through the school and villages, by having an after-school club and sport activities where we discussed about women scientists and leaders. I also successfully executed a re-vegetation project of trees around the school. Maintained and monitored accurate records of secondary projects that I implemented while following Peace Corps regulations, guidelines, and policies. Taught Malaria, AID/HIV prevention and life skills as part of my humanitarian relief for a Swedish organization. Taught Physics, geometry and geography

Entrada Ranch

I work for the VP for Research at the University of Utah's Rio Mesa Center located at the Entrada Ranch located on the Dolores Rivers approximately 40 miles east of Moab, UT. The Rio Mesa center is a field-based station for interdisciplinary research that emphasizes ecology and the environment in the broadest sense. I maintained 380 acres to protect the real-world laboratory for researching the complexities of the biological fragile systems along the Dolores River, But not limited to researching and analyzing: floodplain delineation, flood peak attenuation, Cottonwood trees, Cryptobiotic soil crusts, atmospheric and ornithological measurements. Additionally, maintained good public relations (PR) by acting as a liaison with the local ranchers, schools, scientists, volunteers and non-governmental organizations (NGO) for educational and research purposes. I would give talks and presentations on the local geology, river science and on topics of agrostology (grass), cyanobacterium and human sustainability. Assisted and advised students with applications for college, internships and working on projects that protected the real-world laboratory for researching the ecological fragile systems on the Dolores River. Collaborated with an NGO: Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance (SUWA) in promoting the “America’s Red Rock Wilderness Act” policy for Congress. This was a temporary position.www.riomesa.utah.edu

I tutored geology and mathematics for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) majors to those who are in the Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) program at the College of the Desert.

College Of The Desert

The NASA Curriculum Improvements Partnership Award for the Integration of Research (CIPAIR) project initiated a strong partnership and collaboration between College of the Desert (COD) and California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB). The program goals was to gave the opportunity for undergraduates to work with NASA where I facilitated them in their education experience through this program. As a CIPAIR Assistant Coordinator I outreach to the community to attract underrepresented minority students to become a STEM major and work along with and reported to Carl Farmer P.h.D.. I was responsible for the Atmospheric Science Experiments and Research that the interns did in the Coachella Valley. I utilized Microsoft Excel and Hysplit Trajectory Model(s) to compute data into graphs and models. I mentored, taught and oversaw the Atmospheric Science Experiments and Research in air quality and the effect secondary aerosols had on human health, the ozone and other pollutants in the Coachella Valley. As a part of the program the COD students traveled to NASA Dryden Edwards Air Force Base, UCR and CSUSB to enrich their experience to develop their analytical and research skills. These interns were part of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) program. All in effort so that the interns will attract more under-represented minority students to the STEM fields and increase the rate of transfers to 4-year colleges. As well as, for the interns to expand their research opportunities at NASA while providing them a better understanding of NASA. 90% of my students got a summer internship, grants and transfer to a UC school that following fall (2013)

I collected and monitored information coming from the drilling operations software. While documenting drilling data, gas, and core samples on the mud logging software spreadsheets. Location: Engelford shale near Carrizo Springs, Texas. Contracted by Anadarko Petroleum Co.

Greater Los Angeles Area

Assisted the director of Modeling and Educational Demonstrations Laboratory (M.E.D.L) at UCLA, Department of Earth and Space Sciences. My primary duties were to help maintain all geology laboratory equipment such as “dark lab” and “mass-spectrometry lab,” and geophysical equipment (i.e. gravimeter, magnetometer, seismometer, resistivity, GPR, and RTK) and to maintain the rock & mineralogy museum. I assisted and engaged with the public in organizing geology exhibits and work with geological demonstration models for teachers’ in the department. I also classified and categorized rocks and package specimens for the Smithsonian Museum in Chicago.

Southern California

Undergraduate Studies in Earthquake Information Technology (USEIT), Southern California Earthquake Center (SCEC). Taught about earthquakes at public events and high schools through the SoSafe program. Designed computer models, graphics of geological hazards and writing code for the SCEC-VDO to mitgate risk communication for downtown LA. Presented results at the SECE annual meeting in Palm Spring, CA
