Eric Maillet, Fire safety expert, has been working in the nuclear industry since 1993. During his career Eric has worked on several projects ranging from assessment of fire/explosion risk in existing NPP's and Nuclear Facilities to improvement projects as well as on specifications for new NPP's and nuclear waste storage.He is experienced in fire safety engineering, procurement and construction according to nuclear standards with a clear view on the customer's needs and pragmatic insight. Within Tractebel he's mainly assigned to the Long Term Operation program for Doel 1 and 2 (with respect to fire safety) and is involved in several projects for improvement of the fire safety of the Belgian nuclear power plants. Moreover, as technical coordinator of the Tractebel nuclear fire safety team (14 experts), he's the technical coach of these experts.Before working in Tractebel he has been working for the technical support organisation of the Belgian Nuclear Safety Authority and nuclear facilities (radioactive isotopes producer for medical use, hot cell lab) located in Fleurus (Belgium). In his last position there he was responsible of the Nuclear Safety Department and was involved in different projects with respect to fire safety.
