As one of the 80 or so volunteer divers at the SCA - our teams are responsible for the feeding, cleaning and maintenance of the Great Ocean Tank at the SCA with its resident sharks 700+ fish and one 250 lb. loggerhead sea turtle. Typically volunteers put in 100-300 hours per year each (unpaid) in order to supplement the full time staff at the SCA.We also put on 2-3 shows a day Swimming with the very well fed sharks and make presentations to families and school/other groups to educate the public on the marine environment, aquatic critters and the GOT. Its also a great way to keep up our SCUBA skills and network with other local divers.

Representing Buyers in transactions involving vacant land purchases, home purchases and other real estate transactions. Assisting renters in finding a house for the short term and possiby becoming homeowners.

Managed a freshmen biology laboratory for introductory lab classes for two years. Created lesson plans, taught lab techniques, microscopy, basic eukaryotic taxonomy, genetics, basic statistical analysis. Wrote, administered and graded quizzes and lab practical exams.Tutored students in biological subjects.

I served as an enlisted 11C in the 10th Mountain DIV (Regular Army) 1988-1991. After ETS I continued service in the 27th Brigade NYARNG - still wearing the Crossed Bayonets of the 10th MD. Between my active and guard service I acheived the rank of Staff Sergeant as a 60mm mortar section leader, and was the 27th Brigade soldier of the year for 1992.Though there are inevitably some crazy moments when in the military - there were some great times and I always regard my time in the ARMY as the most important job of my life.
