As Associate Head for Safety at Fermilab I have pioneered and sponsored visionary programs and online tools to aid in work planning and control of new proposals and projects. These tools are utilized lab-wide to plan and communicate resource needs and safe execution of these projects. We are currently sponsoring a new initiative to take work planning and control to another level. We have created focus groups of the heavy users of our current work planning, hazard analysis and permitting processes and are leaning on them to be the owners of the new online tool for work planning. It will be a one-stop shop for all work planning, be it hazard analysis, confined space permitting, excavation, etc. It will streamline the work processes for the personnel in the field, while simultaneously reducing paperwork, redundancy, time and increasing communication, focused content and speed at which work is approved with proper control. I have worked on COVID-19 preparation committees, strategic on-siting of personnel, protective equipment inventory and procurement.

Manage a group of EHS professionals for an operating division at Fermilab. Conduct audits and reviews of programs, processes and experiments. Ensure compliance with Fermilab, federal and state standards. We strive for continuous improvement and are reviewing programs for gaps, efficiencies and improvements. Standardization across the functional divisions is one of my goals for this position. We lean on each other for best practices, philosophies and assistance for continuous improvement of all of the division's EHS programs.
