Corporate Planner
CurrentAs a corporate planner in the Office of Strategic Planning and Business Development, my work responsibilities fall under the network development umbrella for the health system. Specifically, I am the lead planner for the Vidant Orthopedics and Vidant Behavioral Health System Service Lines. In this role, I work directly with the service line administrator and physician leader to effectively plan for future growth and sustainability, both from a business and clinical perspective.My current and previous projects include:-Expanding and establishing collaborative care clinics for better access to behavioral health services-Assisting in the development of a joint venture, 144-bed behavioral health hospital with Acadia Healthcare-Creating business plans to support decision making at the senior level in areas such as liver transplant, cancer care services in satellite clinics, and medical office buildings that support multidisciplinary care-Writing certificate of need applications for various projects, including the formation of a joint venture to establish a new hospital-Regularly conducting in depth market analyses to assist in growth projections and identify new markets to establish services-Executing strategic planning sessions with service lines to establish strategic plans that span 1, 2, and 5 year timelinesOther areas of responsibility include or have included Inpatient Rehab (CARF accreditation and planning), Transplant, Pediatrics, and Labs & Pathology.
