Responsible for the Institute’s Office of Information Technology Outreach Services (ITOS), which helps state and local governments incorporate into their operations a wide array of geographic information systems (GIS) technology, including parcel mapping, digitizing paper maps, and integrating transportation/addressing systems. ITOS also provides practical training in the latest mapping technologies. He has managed multiple local, state, national, and international GIS projects and initiatives and has served on and chaired numerous GIS and information technology boards and committees. He has represented Georgia for many years on the National States Geographic Information Council.

Primary responsibility for workflow organization and quality control of data produced using Arc/Info, Arcview, and other GIS software; duplicating such datasets for online and/or offline distribution; and producing metadata to document the GIS data.

Create project workflow, processes and procedures for DLG-F photo-revision contract. I worked closely with programmers to develop tool sets that would be implemented in production environment. I created procedural documentation for photo-revision of State Base Map layers.

Responsibilities included organizing the inventorying and storing of all associated information required by the Georgia DOT for its road system in South Georgia. This was done using GPS and visual inspection with the collected data inputted directly into an Access Database.

Responsibilities included the maintenance and edge matching of county level maps on GDOT mapping project. I assisted in building a seamless calibrated route system on city, county and state roads. I also worked on annotating Georgia DOT County and city levels maps. Focused on producing high-end cartographic product. Others duties included digitizing new layers from Mylar maps and registering them to DOT maps.
