Worked with outside vendors to accumulate, detail and summarize current state of IT for McKesson Corporation. Analyzed current operating costs of IT as percentage of revenue and developed future operating cost models. Prepared and presented weekly updates of program roadblocks and successes to Business Unit CIOs. Submitted and received approval of a Business Case that proposed $100 Million in savings and a 60% reduction in Run Rate for McKesson IT. Created enterprise virtualization strategy, software platforms and hardware architecture for Corporate and Business Units of McKesson, encompassing over 6000+ physical systems. Developed implementation plans by Business Unit and Corporate IT Data Centers. Developed Data Center Consolidation Roadmap. Conceived, created and implemented 3 year Enterprise License Agreement with VMWare for McKesson that resulted in a $30 Million savings in year one. Created policies and procedures for future steady state of McKesson Corporate IT.

Scheduled, managed and reviewed a team of 5 engineers that support over 900 development servers encompassing all OS versions, i.e., Windows, Linux, UNIX. Estimated, prepared, submitted and monitored $4M development hardware and operations budget. Monitored and managed Windward Data Center operations activities including power and cooling. Architected and managed the implementation of customer hosting sites in Windward Data Center. Designed, implemented and supported virtual server solutions using VMWare ESX server solutions. Implemented and supported EMC SAN storage solutions for data and server installations. Architected, implemented and supported multi-vendor server platforms including IBM, HP, Dell, Unisys and SUN.
