University Of Miami Hospital Cardiology It ConsultantCsi Healthcare It May 2014 - Apr 2015Miami, FlI was brought in to help manage the severely degraded state of Siemens syngoDynamics and other cardiology PACS systems. When I arrived, I found that syngoDynamics had not successfully archived studied to the long-term archive for well over 2 years. I had over 9000 studies with no secondary backup location, which put the server at a serve risk of data loss. The current cache location was also suffering from a bad RAID 5 drive, which was promptly replaces shortly after my arrive to the site. With in a month, I was able to successfully archive the 9000+ studies to Philips iSite PACS, as well as dealing with 74 studies with corrupt DICOM image data, that needed manual intervention. The syngoDynamics system required an upgrade from v9.0 to the lastest version VA10a, however, I discovered 6.71TB of Philips Xcelera PACS data was archived to one of the cache locations on the syngoDynamics server, preventing Siemens to perform the upgrade without this date being removed and secured elsewhere. I was able to manually migrate this Xcelera PACS data to a new share, remove this competing DICOM date from the syngoDynamics server, and was able to perform the upgrade to VA10a. I also upgraded the syngoDynamics Web Portal Server to new hardware, which was grossly under spec hardware. This greatly improved the performance of the Web Portal feature, and doctors are now able to use this feature without issues. I upgraded the workstation hardware for the 5 Cath/EP Labs, which included solid state hard drives to improve the playback performance of the rather large XA studies. I also managed many updates to the report templates for the Cath and Vascular departments in syngoDynamics. Overall satisfaction of syngoDynamics has increased dramatically.I also manage all Cardiology PACS systems including:Siemens syngoDynamicsSiemens SensisSiemens MagicLinkAPhilips XceleraPhilips Xcelera ConnectPhilips iSiteInvia Corridor4DMGE MuseGE ImageVaultEpicMeditech -
