I am a senior pursuing a major in aerospace engineering alongside a computer science minor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Sparked from an early fascination with space and later fueled by my studies in college, my passion for aerospace engineering has led to many amazing experiences. Many of these experiences are related to the Illinois Space Society, a student organization at the U of I. As a registered student of this organization, I have been involved in a number of technical projects including the NASA Space Grant Midwest Rocketry Competition, the NASA Micro-g Neutral Buoyancy Experiment Design Teams (Micro-g NExT), and the Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC). In all three of these projects, I have been challenged to expand my skills, write software, design hardware, and navigate the different team environments. Looking forward, I am planning to continue to pursue my passion and expand this list of amazing experiences.Programming Experience: Python, MATLAB, Java, C++Computer Aided Design: Siemens NXCollaboration and Organization: GitHub, Slack, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Discord

Solid Propulsion Simulations & Operations Chief EngineerThe Illinois Space Society Aug 2021 - Mar 2022Champaign, Illinois, United StatesResponsible for researching, simulating, and designing a custom, solid motor for use in a rocket designed to pass the Kármán line as part of an entirely student-led, multi-year, large rocketry project.Working extensively with modeling programs including BurnSim 3.3 and ProPEP 3 to determine solid propellant burn rate, pressure, thrust, and other key rocket performance values.Responsible for developing a custom data acquisition system to accurately measure and display the performance of the custom solid rocket motors created for the Spaceshot project. -
Irec Structures Subteam MemberThe Illinois Space Society Aug 2020 - Aug 2021Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC)Explored possibility of integrating a passive roll control system by use of fin-tip rollerons. Developed a CAD model of a new fin attachment mechanism that utilizes a fin can rather than heavy brackets. This year, the team is developing their own hybrid rocket motor, so I also aided in the development of a system that integrates the custom motor into the rest of the rocket. -
Nasa Micro-G Next Design Subteam LeadThe Illinois Space Society Aug 2020 - Jul 2021Responsible for developing a CAD model of the Geoselenic Retrieval Utility (GRU) using Siemens NX, making the design of the tool as physically realistic, detailed, and effective as possible.Managing a team of 10+ people by delegating tasks, organizing meetings, and advising younger students. -
Nasa Space Grant Flight Dynamics Subteam MemberThe Illinois Space Society Aug 2019 - Nov 2020Collaborated with a team of over 40 members and a sub-team of 10 members to conceptualize, refine, and create a high-powered rocket under strict competition constraints. The requirements of the competition include two flights with differing target altitudes, zero roll during flight, and cameras placed on different sections of the rocket that must face each other. Finally, after the rocket has landed, it is required to take a 360 degree panorama photo from at least one foot above the ground. Created an active drag and roll control system to manage the flight dynamics of the rocket during ascent.Unfortunately we were not able to fly our rocket in the competition due to COVID-19. -
Nasa Micro-G Next Design Subteam MemberThe Illinois Space Society Aug 2019 - Oct 2020Developed a 3D CAD model of the Lunar Extraction Tool (LETo) using Siemens NX.Created various prototype designs of the tool to make sure it satisfied the strict requirements imposed by NASA, including ease of use, weight constraints, dimension constraints, and total dust tolerance. LETo was tested at the Neutral Buoyancy Lab (NBL) and a final report was written detailing the tool's construction and performance. -

Production Engineering InternCollins Aerospace Jun 2021 - Aug 2021Fairfield, California, United StatesStreamlined the transition from design to manufacturing phases for commercial and defense energetic systems, including the ACES 5® Next Generation Ejection Seat. Developed Microsoft Access database compiling formulations, ballistic properties, and physical properties of solid rocket propellants. Utilized a MSDOS program, Propellant Performance Evaluation Program to calculate ballistic properties of solid rocket propellants from a list of chemical ingredients. -
Summer InternLace Jun 2020 - Aug 2020Sao Paulo, BrazilConducted market research of LACE Engineering as part of a virtual, summer internship. The program was hosted by CampusB Borderless Education. The focus of the market research was to determine if the global market would be interested in a new electromagnetic compatibility testing solution offered by LACE. -
