The Scheduling element of the Supply Operations team is responsible for controlling product stocks held at terminals and all replenishment activities within Oil UK. Scheduled fuels from refinery to terminals which included, Mogas, Distillates and fuels oils including Bio Fuels. The main objective was to satisfy market demand at minimum working capital costs. The role required interaction with many other functions within Supply, Logistics & Trading as well as the Marketing Business Units. The role incorporated: . Managed forecast and account for hydro carbon inventory levels (approx. 1.2million tonnes per year) at terminals within the pre-defined neutral stock policy and CSO requirements. Successfully managed winter-summer Gasoline turnovers at terminals annually• Managed and optimised of the shipping budget of £15m• 24 hour emergency cover for entire UK• Created, updated and executed a terminal by terminal monthly replenishment plan• Monitor the movement of all products into and out of BP and third party terminals to ensure they have adequate volumes to fulfil demand by road tankers without causing supply issues either to low or high stock.• Reviewed and agreed operational demand forecast with the Supply Link• Liaised with charterers where applicable to maximise the use of COA’s valued at £3m.• Managed seasonal quality changes by grade and location• Resolved and communicated quality and operational issues• Identified short term optimization opportunities
