Supervised nine individuals in the Traffic, Performance, and RF Engineering groups working on Motorola, Lucent, and Nortel platforms.Directed the site selection and design of the company’s first two CDMA systems using the GRANET propagation modeling tool. Assisted in system testing, integration, and optimization.Prepared several detailed executive reports including an analysis of CDMA/TDMA capacity/cost comparisons based on the equivalent random method, and a thorough study of the interference potential of the AirCell reverse link.Conceptualized, specified, planned, cost justified, staffed, and managed the development of a new interactive intranet-based, operational measurement reporting tool. In part these efforts contributed to a 0.5% year over year reduction in network-wide dropped calls despite a same period 50% increase in usage.Created a growth planning tool and implemented a capacity planning process to guide the company’s first major cell-splitting initiative. Prepared or assisted in the preparation of all site justifications. Gained executive team appropriations approval on all recommended projects. Oversaw the deployment of several coverage sites, 13 capacity sites in 8 markets, 1 system changeout, and 6 major system retunes, all resulting in improved system quality.
